Signs of genital herpes in men may vary through different stages of disease but we will mention the most common one here.

Most of the signs of genital herpes in men occur in are around the penis, including the penis, scrotum and surrounding area of anus. Light rash on the penis and surrounding area are usually among the first signs of genital herpes in men. It is also accompanied by itching and swelling in the mentioned area.

Another common sign of genital herpes in men is general fatigue, fever and headache. Also, many men reported sever discomfort while urinating. These signs of genital herpes in men are often recognized in various other diseases, so they don’t necessarily point to genital herpes.

Furthermore, bumps and reddening often show up on penis, scrotum and surrounding genital area. The bumps are usually like the cold sores that vary in size. With time, they sink into the seep into the skin and burst.  The condition ends with open sores turning into scabs and with time heal.

Once the virus enters the body, it stays there forever. Signs of genital herpes in men can show up even after the initial symptoms go by.
